The Journey Ends and A New Life Begins - our road trip and extended holiday has come to an end. We are now in Australia, where we intend to begin the next chapter of our experience of life. Although the road trip ended in Canada - we were able to visit England to say farewell to friends and family then return to Canada to experience a real Canadian winter in Nelson B.C. Taking to the awesome powder slopes and being truly welcomed into a homestay.

James has now set up two companies in Australia that specialise in the High End Offroad Camping world and has set up a showroom and dealership in both Brisbane (Qld)and Perth (WA)where he continues his passion for expedition travel. He retails a number of Australia's premium Camper Trailers, Caravans, Slide-On Campers and rooftents.

Welcome to Lodzi.com where we invite you to experience our 22 month journey through South, Central, North America and Canada.

The Photo Gallery contains a selection of the amazing, and sometimes strange, sights that we have been privileged to experience. The route maps that we have included, show our general route as we meandered the Americas Continent.

The tour began on the 15th January 2005. It was originally planned to last 11 months covering the entire Americas and would be the big tour before we settle down and become sensible adults!

With so much to see and experience, within the first 2 months of being on the road we realised the journey would take on it's own pace and route, so we threw caution to the wind and the time planning out the window and emersed ourselves in our new, ever changing life. Our Goal! Once the Continent was chosen we selected and completed three objectives -

To visit the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls in Venezuela.
To drive to the end of the road of South America in Ushuaia.
To drive to the most Northerly point accessible by vehicle, Dead Horse Alaska.
